PARKINSON’S DISEASE GATHERING

Have you ever noticed how many people at the Veterans’ Home have Parkinson’s Disease or something similar?  It seems that the largest concentration of Members with Parkinson’s is in Sections D and C (in that order).  How did that happen?  Who knows?  Regardless of how it happened, we are here and have to deal with it.

  • What would you think about taking advantage of this situation and have an informal meeting where we can discuss and compare notes on each other’s brand of Parkinson’s?

  • We could discuss how we are dealing with it, i.e., what kind of medicine we have used and how does it affect us?

  • Has anyone had DBS surgery yet?  What is the effect of that?

  • How have we coped with it over the years?
