Follies du Valle

Follies du Valle is a themed, musical extravaganza established in 1997 as a fundraiser for the renovation of the Lincoln Theater. It continues to be produced biannually to raise additional resources for the theater and its programs. Fondly referred to as "Follies" it is truly a community effort that relies on the commitment of more than a hundred volunteers onstage and behind the scenes to produce the show. Follies returns to the Lincoln Theater March 5, 6 and 7, 2010 with a wildly zany production titled Follies du Valle: It’s About Time, featuring musical numbers organized around a theme of time. All proceeds from this production will go directly to scholarships for the 2010 Lincoln Theater Napa Valley Youth Performing Arts Program. At a time when budget cuts are forcing so many schools to eliminate arts education, Follies is proud to offer this opportunity to our local children. For more about Follies du Valle visit www.folliesduvalle.org.

Righteous Brother Bill Medley

A seminal figure in the history of American music, Bill Medley is best known as half of the unmistakable duo, The Righteous Brothers. Their raw emotional rhythm and blues sound of the mid-‘60s became a radio fixture with hits such as “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’,” “Just Once in My Life,” “Unchained Melody” and “(You’re My) Soul and Inspiration.” Medley is now a solo artist following the unexpected passing of Righteous Brother Bobby Hatfield. His live performance, based on his solo album Damn Near Righteous, includes new material and classics paying tribute to a number of Medley’s mentors and peers – including his longtime friend Hatfield.
